This is why I have currently kept my ex's name, and until I either feel reborn and choose a new name, or remarry, I will continue to use it. ALL of my professional success happened after I got married and relenquished my maiden name *which was a long, hyphenated ramble of confusion, and which I was happy to let go.*

I have no contact with my wasband, nor any desire to still be tied to him, but legally changing a name is a real hassel and I haven't (yet) felt an impetus to do so.
