It's less "how expensive marriage is" and more "how expensive a big wedding is. Or maybe "how expensive divorce is." But that's assuming a specific ending to the marriage and if you already know you're going to divorce...maybe don't get married in the first place?

I think marriage (partnership, shared burdens, shared loads, built in best friend) is actually less expensive than singledom!
