I hear your pain, Orlando, and I hope you are able to eventually find peace.

As to my divorce improving my quality of life, it took me quite a bit of time (and therapy) to get to that perspective. I was not the one who initiated proceedings, though I’ll admit I was relieved when he filed because I’d been unhappy for years but tried to distract myself or convince myself that this was just was marriage was like (I have shifted opinions on that since then).
As to whether or not the divorce improves his life… you’d have to ask him.
