Agreed. And it’s even better if Shelly can verbalize what she needs, give Steve a chance to verbalize what he needs, and the two of them can come up with something that works for both of them on a timeline they’re both comfortable with.
Or, if Shelly can say, “here’s what I’m hoping for in the future and if that’s not the page you’re on, that’s totally okay, but then let’s split up so we can both find what works for us.”
